Debarati Chakraborty belongs to a family of music conoisseur having her father Sri Ajit Chakraborty, diverse talent (notably popular for playing the tabla), as her first and foremost Guru. She received training on recitation, Kathak dance and music, simultaneously and started enjoying the essence of prizes, awards and acclaim since her childhood. Debarati is blessed with talim from Gurus like Smt. Swati Nandi, Sri Swapan Mukherjee, Smt. Krishna Majumdar, Smt. Barnali Paul and Sri Sandip Nag. She performs on several stages both anonymous and renowned. She has desciples whom she induces with essence of music. She has the vision to unfold the petals of the invaluable creation of her father and prays to the omnipotent power of music, that she can perform from the core of her heart.
