Udit Chakraborty was born in Kolkata and grew up in the cities of Mirzapur and Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Varanasi at heart and Bengali in identity and taste, his fascination with Indian Classical Music deepened and ripened with age as he pursued the art under the venerable guidance of Padma Bhushan Pt. Shri Chhannulal Mishra ji in Varanasi while managing a very successful corporate career. He has performed to rousing mass and critical appreciation since the last decade in cities as Kolkata, Varanasi, Allahabad, Dehradun, Bareilly, Bhilai and Mirzapur. Besides his insurmountable skill in Hindustani Classical, Udit is a very talented singer of different genres as Thumri/ Kajri/ Dadra/ Chaiti, Ghazal/Nazm, Sufi, and Raag based Bangla/ Hindi music. Udit seeks the blessings and wishes of all in his quest to propagate the massive treasure of Hindustani Classical Music to one and all, especially the youth of India and the world.
