FIXING / LOCAL PRODUCTION

In addition to her TV hosting work, La Carmina and her business partner Naomi Rubin run an experienced Japan fixing (local production) company. They have worked with dozens of TV productions from around the world, especially on shows about Japanese bizarre subcultures.

La Carmina and the Pirates were the Tokyo, Japan local producers / fixers for this episode. We take care of all aspects including translation, casting, local logistics, permits, etc. The language and formal business culture of Japan make filming especially difficult for foreigners, but we'd be able to navigate all these hurdles.

Our Japan production work includes arranging "bagelhead" body modification episodes for Fuel TV, Pro Sieben and National Geographic, fetish party access for Travel Channel, Food Network and TLC, host clubs for NRK Norway TV, and many more.
