Khashoggi's Daughters ‘Promise His Light Will Never Fade' In Moving Op-Ed

Jamal Khashoggi's daughters have penned a moving op-ed.

The daughters of slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi have promised that "his light will never fade."
The two women, named Noha and Razan Jamal, made the declaration in a recent Washington Post op-ed, where they say, "This is no eulogy, for that would confer a state of closure. Rather, this is a promise that his light will never fade, that his legacy will be preserved within us."
They describe their father as a "complex man" who was passionate about traveling, knowledge, writing, and, in their words, "was always striving for a utopian version of reality."
They also assert that "Dad was no dissident," saying, "we knew he had chosen to write so tirelessly in the hopes that when he did return to the kingdom, it might be a better place for him and all Saudis."
Their heartfelt tribute was released soon after President Trump contradicted a Post report from last week, which states: "The CIA has concluded that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul last month."
"They didn't conclude," Trump told reporters, reacting to the report. "No no, they didn't conclude….I don't know if anyone's going to be able to conclude the crown prince did it."
"I will say this...whether he did or whether he didn't, he denies it vehemently," Trump added. "His father denies it, the king, vehemently. The CIA doesn't say they did it, they do point out certain things and in pointing out those things you can conclude that maybe he did or maybe he didn't."
