U.S. Navy Chief Says U.S. & China To 'Meet More And More On High Seas'

According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, Chief of US Naval Operations Admiral John Richardson said that the United States and China 'will meet each other more and more on the high seas' after a Chinese warship came dangerously close to a US ship in the contested South China Sea. While speaking at an event co-organized by the US embassy in Jakarta, Richardson also reportedly said that China's relationship with the Russian navy should be watched 'with interest' as it develops.
