00:00And now, stand by for adventure, three, two, one.

00:21In the exciting story of The Treacherous Parrot.

00:33At last it was finished, the beautiful necklace of pink seashells which Scratch had made for

00:39his dear old brother.

00:40Yes, this was Mama Scratch's birthday.

00:43Now clutching his gleaming gift, the caveman hops aboard Bleep's Futomic Time Machine.

00:49It is this wonderful invention that will carry Scratch back through time and space to his

00:54boyhood home.

00:55The hatch closes, the power goes on, and away he goes.

01:04Back through the countless centuries he speeds to arrive in the time of the Stone Age.

01:11And there they are, Papa Scratch, just as handsome as ever.

01:18Mama Scratch, looking even lovelier with her beautiful pink seashell necklace.

01:25They all spend a wonderful day together, but soon it is evening and Scratch speeds back

01:30once more to his friends on Zero Zero Island.

01:36Unknown to the caveman, however, his every move has been carefully watched by Black Patch,

01:43the villainous one-eyed leader of the bloodthirsty space parrots.

01:48At last Black Patch has learned the secret of Colonel Bleep's time machine, and now he

01:53has a plan, a plan to capture Colonel Bleep alive.

01:59And so at the stroke of midnight, the hatch of the time machine closes again.

02:08Then almost as quickly as it vanished, it returns, carrying not one passenger, but two.

02:18Bleep awoke with a start.

02:20There was trouble in the air.

02:21He could feel it.

02:22Then, sure enough, he found it.

02:26To Colonel Bleep, surrender to me at the top of the moon, or Mama Scratch dies at the hour of noon.

02:41Black Patch.

02:45Yes, it was true.

02:47Black Patch had kidnapped poor Mama Scratch, and only Bleep could save her.

02:54Without delay, the colonel speeds off for the moon to willingly surrender his life in

02:59exchange for Mama Scratch's freedom.

03:02Minutes later, Squeak and Scratch also discovered the kidnapper's terrible note, but Scratch

03:07found something else the spaceman had missed, a trail of gleaming pink seashells, seashells

03:15from Mama Scratch's birthday necklace.

03:18Somehow, Mama had managed to leave this clue for her faithful son to follow.

03:24And so off they went in hot pursuit, tracking the seashell trail deep into the dense jungle.

03:32At that very moment, high on the moon, Bleep spotted the pirate band.

03:37Listening carefully, the colonel learned this was a treacherous trap.

03:42The evil Black Patch had no intention of freeing Mama Scratch at all, even if Bleep does surrender.

03:49In fact, at this instant, Mama is back on Zero Zero Island, staring into the muzzle

03:55of a powerful pirate cannon.

03:58At exactly noon, the scorching rays of the sun will ignite the cannon's fuse, and Mama's

04:02life will be lost in one blinding flash.

04:07Yes, at last Bleep knew the terrible truth.

04:11Back toward Zero Zero Island he streaked, but was there still time?

04:17Good grief, it's already too late.

04:20The fuse of the cannon has burst into flame.

04:23But look up above.

04:25It's Squeak and Scratch.

04:27But what can they do?

04:29Only seconds remain.

04:37From high above, Bleep sees the whizzing cannonball streak straight for the top of the moon

04:44to land in the midst of the startled pirate gang.

04:52And so, Mama Scratch was saved.

04:56And you can bet she will never forget the day of birthday necklace of pink seashells

05:04and the courageous action of her boy and his friends saved her from a terrible fate.

05:12It was certainly true.

05:14No mother anywhere ever had a more wonderful son.

05:20Bye-bye, Mama.

05:22Give our love to Papa Scratch.
