00:00And now, stand by for adventure in the exciting story of Scratch and the Sea Serpent.
00:27Scratch was headed for trouble.
00:30On the shore of the lagoon near the center of the island, he had found what appeared
00:34to be the entrance to a great cave.
00:38Scratch peeked into the dark interior, squeezed between the huge white rocks at the entrance,
00:42tumbled inside, and then down he went.
00:44Down, down, down into a tunnel of dark rocks.
00:49Too late.
00:50Scratch realized that this wasn't a cave at all, but the inside of a gigantic sea serpent.
00:58And the great white rocks he had squeezed through were the monster's teeth gleaming
01:02in the sun.
01:03And now those giant jaws of the sea serpent had closed, trapping our caveman friend maybe
01:10forever.
01:14Of course, Little Squeak, busy in his library, and Colonel Bleep, in his laboratory, were
01:20unaware that Scratch was in trouble.
01:23Bleep, for some time, had been experimenting with a secret formula for changing plutonic
01:27lightning bolts into solid rods stronger than steel.
01:34That very morning, he had discovered the final missing ingredient, which Bleep called frigid
01:40plutonium 505.
01:43By creating a plutonic lightning bolt, then quickly freezing it with frigid plutonium,
01:50the bolt became a solid rod as light as a feather, yet stronger than steel.
01:57That same morning, Little Squeak was in the library of his new dream home, dusting the
02:01many shelves filled with wonderful magic books.
02:04These books were magic because the pictures in them actually moved.
02:09For instance, here's a page from Treasure Island.
02:14And Jack and the Beanstalk.
02:16And here's Squeak's favorite book, The Adventures of Pinocchio.
02:20The story of the little wooden puppet who had all kinds of exciting adventures, and
02:25even became a real live boy.
02:29It wasn't until about 20 minutes after Scratch disappeared down the throat of the sea serpent
02:34that Bleep and Squeak discovered he was missing.
02:37Through the plutonic radar scanner, Bleep could see every spot on Zero Zero Island,
02:43but Scratch was nowhere to be found.
02:46Then Bleep saw a movement in the lagoon.
02:48It was the sea monster.
02:49And when Bleep switched on the x-ray vision attachment, he plainly saw that the caveman
02:54was trapped in the stomach of that serpent.
02:58In an instant, Bleep and Squeak streaked to the water's edge with a flash.
03:03Bleep made two plutonic lightning bolts, sprayed them with frigid plutonium 505, and using
03:09these strong rods as stilts, they waded into the sea to catch the serpent by surprise.
03:14As Squeak pinched the monster's nose, its mouth opened and Bleep jammed the stilt between
03:19those great jaws.
03:20And before Squeak could squeak, the colonel had dashed inside the serpent to rescue their
03:24old friend, Scratch.
03:26Then Bleep grabbed the beast by the tail and with super plutonic strength, threw him completely
03:31out of this world.
03:33So once again, Bleep, Squeak, and Scratch are reunited.
03:40And you can just bet that Scratch will not step into any more caves without testing first
03:46to be sure that it is just a cave.
