Legendary Actor Burt Reynolds Dead At 82

According to reports from US Weekly, Burt Reynolds has died at the age of 82. He went into cardiac arrest at a hospital in Florida on Thursday, September 6, with his family by his side.
The legendary actor had a career that spanned over 56 years and was best known for films like The Longest Year and Smokey and the Bandit and for starring in the television series Gunsmoke. He also scored a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Boogie Nights in 1997.
Back in 2009, Burt underwent back surgery and in February 2010, he had a quintuple heart bypass.
However, none these health complications slowed him or his career down. He starred in the film The Last Movie Star, a DirectTV exclusive, which was released in March and was met with mixed to positive reviews from fans and critics alike.
He was also a part of the star-studded cast of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood at the time of his passing. When asked about his role alongside Brad Pitt, he insisted, “I still haven’t done the best work I can do and I’d like to do something people really wouldn’t expect.”
One of Burt’s last public appearances was last month when he attended the Bubba Fest in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. According to reports, his autograph line was the longest one of the day.
The actor, was married to Judy Carne from 1963 to 1965 and then to Loni Anderson from 1988 to 1993. He also had a high-profile relationship during the 1970s and 1980s with Sally Fields.
He is survived by his one son, Quinton.
