Disney Streaming Platform Will Be Netflix's Newest Competition

Disney’s upcoming streaming finally
has a name. The service will be called Disney Play. Bob Iger, Disney’s CEO, referred to the platform by name in an interview with 'Variety.' The company plans to launch the streaming platform in 2019 to take on Netflix and Amazon. In order to tackle the competition, Disney will pull it’s content from Netflix. That means all Disney, Pixar and Marvel Studios films will be taken off of the popular streaming-service. Iger claims Disney Play will cost less than Netflix’s $8 to $14 monthly fee.
