The CDC has reported a multi-state outbreak of salmonella linked to raw turkey products. Between November 2017 and June 2018, 90 people reported being sickened by Salmonella Reading. To date, 40 of these people have been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported. CDC testing has revealed traces of the pathogen in raw turkey products from 19 slaughter facilities.
