Chinese man uses musical saw to play Japanese ballad

A Chinese man was captured playing a Japanese ballad with a musical saw in northern China's Jilin Province in April last year.

In the video, a man named Liang Linsheng uses a metal saw to play a song called "The Spring in Northern Country" with an accompaniment.

Musical saws, also called singing saws, can be heard in the folk music of Russia and rural America.

The over 60-year-old Liang has played a musical saw for 14 years and has received many international awards.
