Thousands of protesters waited in New York City’s Foley Square on Saturday, June 30, as they prepared to make their way across the Brooklyn Bridge as part of the Families Belong Together March.Holding signs that read, “Stop the cruelty to children and refugees,” and “NO Borders, NO Nations, NO Deportations,” protesters marched from Foley Square to Cadman Plaza, according to local media.Organizers planned the events, taking place all across the United States, as a response to US President Donald Trump’s zero-tolerance policy on immigration, which has led to children being separated from their parents at the US border.
