Iowa Dad Builds 'Intensive Care Unit' in Oven for Baby Goat With Pneumonia

Iowa native Courtney Mader’s father, Tom, is a man who knows how to improvize.In a tweet posted on April 9, Courtney noted how her dad had casually revealed to her by text that he was “building an ICU.” Understandably confused, she asked for more details, after which Tom sent her a video showing a very young goat lying down on a sheet in an open oven, while a humidifier was placed beside it.The goat had, according to Courtney’s father, been suffering from pneumonia and the humidifier was employed as it was “severely dehydrated.” The good news, she later revealed, was that the improvized ICU was an apparent success.“The baby goat actually got better shortly after my dad gave his magic touch and is now hopping around,” Courtney wrote.
