Palestinian Journalist Killed By Live Gunfire In Israel-Gaza Protests

According to a report by Reuters, a Palestinian journalist after being wounded by Israeli gunfire, while covering the deadly protests taking place along the Israel-Gaza border. Thirty-year-old Yaser Murtaja, a cameraman for Palestinian Ain Media, was the 29th Palestinian killed this week. Palestinian health officials said a live bullet had penetrated the side of his abdomen and he later succumbed to his wounds in hospital. The daily protests, referred to as “The Great March of Return”, began on March 30 along the Israel-Gaza frontier, reviving a demand for the return of Palestinian refugees to towns and villages from which their families fled when the state of Israel was created.
