Host Margarita Martínez travels to Coolidge Square in Watertown, MA, where a close-knit Armenian American community has thrived for nearly a century. At Sevan Bakery, co-owner Nuran Chavushian gives Margarita a lesson in Armenian cooking. Some of the dishes prepared in this video include: Cheese Boregs (Cheese Turnovers), Karniyarik and Bulgar Pilaf with Vermicelli (Baked Eggplant stuffed with Ground Meat), and Birds Nest Baklava.

Chef Nuran Chavusian shows us the recipe for Cheese Boregs (Cheese Turnovers), a simple but flavorful Armenian delight that is good for every occasion. (Recipe Link: https://bit.ly/2GlPjpH)

Karniyarik is an eggplant that we sautee. We cut it and fill it with ground beef, sautéed onions, a little salt and pepper. Then we throw it in the oven and there you go, you have a dinner. (Recipe Link: https://bit.ly/2pWYu5N)

Baklava is a a world famous, melt-in-your-mouth dessert. Try making this sweet pastry, a mass of layers of phyllo dough filled with chopped nuts, baked and drenched with sugar water. (Recipe Link: https://bit.ly/2GJtD6e)
