When he woke up the next morning, only one was there. Trappers were called and, days later, they found a roughly 6-foot-long carpet python with a shoe-shaped bulge in its middle. The snake was taken to HerpVet, an area veterinarian, and slipper extraction surgery was performed. It was a success, with the snake making it through the ordeal and the man no longer having a footwear-eating python roaming around his house.
