This is a video I use to support the children in my class and their parents with understanding the /ch/sh/th/ng graphemes and their phonemes, as taught using the Letters and Sounds Phase 3 Phonics programme. \r

Teaching phonics can help some children improve their reading as they learn to blend the phonemes for reading. It can also help support spelling as words can be segmented into phonemes or groups of phonemes called chunks.\r
