Uber to Institute Breaks for Drivers Between Long Shifts

Uber announced that drivers will be forced to take an extended break after driving for 12-hours.
Similar to hours for long-haul truck drivers, Uber is following the lead of their rival Lyft with the new policy.
The ride-sharing service Lyft requires drivers to break for at least 6-hours for every 14-hours of driving.
Although Uber has previously implemented the policy, it was done so regionally.
