This is the moment an avalanche crashed down a mountainside in the Swiss ski resort of Zermatt, where thousands of tourists were trapped following heavy snowfall.
The footage was captured on January 22.
Writes the filmer: ''We we're walking up through the Main Street in Zermatt , we heard a loud roar above and looked up to see the snow coming down towards the village.''
