How to make Besan Burfi Recipe
Besan Burfi is a very common mithai, can be prepared quickly.
Ingredients are easily available:
Besan/gram flour 200 gms
Ghee 250gms
Mawa 150 gms
Sugar 1,1/2 cup
Water 1,1/2 cup
Pistachios and rose petals to decorate
What you need to do:
In a heavy base pan, heat oil and add besan.
Stir it continuously, till it turns golden.
Keep the flame on medium
It will take around 40-45 mins
As it is roasted it will become lose and you can feel the texture getting smooth.
Let it cool down and add mawa.
Mix it well.
Prepare sugar syrup by adding sugar and water and let it boil for 25 mins, till you get consistency of 1 thread.
mix this syrup in the besan mixture, mix well.
In a greased tin, pour the mixture, sprinkle the pistachios and rose petals and keep in fridge for 30 mins.
Cut the cooled bar with knife of any shape, the burfis are ready.
