Doctor Suggests President Trump May Be Suffering From A ‘Degenerative Brain Disorder’

President Trump is known for being brash, outspoken, and quick to trigger, traits that some have applauded as being genuine and characteristic of a no-nonsense approach.
A doctor who specializes in brain injury medicine is suggesting otherwise, saying such behaviors could be indicative of a "degenerative brain disorder."
"I see worrisome symptoms that fall into three main categories: problems with language and executive function; problems with social cognition and behavior; and problems with memory, attention, and concentration," Dr. Ford Vox writes in a piece published by the medical news site STAT.
After naming specific instances, including fragmented and repetitive speech patterns, the fights picked with Gold Star families, and assertions that millions of people illegally voted for Hillary Clinton, Vox offers his suggestion.
"It's time to discuss these issues in a clinical context…even if the president has a physical exam early next year and releases the records, as announced by the White House, what he really needs is thorough cognitive testing," he notes.
Vox is not the first medical expert in recent times to weigh in on the president's behavior.
Psychiatrist Bandy X. Lee has written two editorials on the matter in the past weeks, with one appearing on NBC's 'Think' and the other in The New York Times.
In both, Lee stresses the urgent need for a professional assessment of the president, writing in 'Think' that "Trump has already exceeded our usual threshold for evaluation."
The behaviors mentioned by the doctors reportedly have not gone unnoticed inside the White House.
MSNBC's Joe Scarborough recently reported that a number of White House officials have expressed concerns about Trump's "emotional stability."
