Southern California's Thomas fire has reached an all-time record. It is now the state's fifth-largest wildfire spanning larger than New York City. The fire has scorched 230,000 acres within the past week. Residents living in coastal areas were ordered to evacuate the area. Firefighters said 15 percent of the blaze was contained but then lowered the number to 10 as the inferno spread.
