The Queen may skip Prince Harry's wedding

There may be one royal guest absent from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding— the queen herself. Although Prince Harry's grandmother has already given the happy couple her blessing, Business Insider explains that she may not be able to attend the ceremony. Being the head of the British monarch, the Queen is also the head of the Church of England, which is opposed to divorce. Because Meghan is a divorcee, the Queen may have to opt out. Business Insider reports that this may not the first time that she's skipped a family wedding. She only attended Prince Charles's reception in 2005, when he remarried Camilla Parker-Bowles.
