Laughter Can Be Analyzed By Two Types

Professor Sophie Scott studies cognitive neuroscience of human communication at University College London. Her TED Talk called, "Why We Laugh," has gone viral. She explains the difference between the types of laughter we use in social situations.
Based on other research, she explains that human beings mostly laugh when they’re with other humans. Laughter is a social behavior. We laugh as much to show that we like someone or that we know someone.
