U.S. passports will now identify sex offenders

This week, the U.S. State Department started to revoke passports from registered sex offenders. They will be allowed to reapply for new passports, though there is a catch. In accordance with International Megan's law, every registered sex offender from here on out will have an identifier printed on the back cover of their passport. The Department of Homeland Security also announced that registered offenders will no longer be eligible for passport cards since they cannot be marked.
