I try to watch a lot of movies, television, and video some of which are mainstream and others that are way out there. Between the internet and previews at theaters there are tons of things that have sparked more than a passing interest. But don’t get me wrong I hate the fact everything is a sequel or remake or reimagining but I try to look at all of it objectively.
Let’s look at some of the more interesting things that you may not have thought about watching coming to television and theaters real soon.

Marvel’s Runaways – With the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its spin off properties (Netflix, ABC Television, etc…) Marvel brings more third tier characters to the small and large screen for future success like the Runaways. This weekend the trailer went live from NYCC and it really seems to be a one for one adaptation of the comic book of the same name. As far as trailers go this looks real good almost good enough for me to buy a Hulu subscription.

The Foreigner – What do you get when Jackie Chan plays a businessman who loses his daughter? An action film where some people might find a more serious take on Jackie Chan based on much of his recent work (comedic action) a little hard to comprehend. Hollywood really needs to search for a new action hero but I am hoping to get my martial arts action fix out of this one.

Justice League – The final trailer before the movie was just…..spectacular. I can only say I hope that this film does not disappoint. It isn’t about being as good as or better than Marvel films at this point it needs to be good to satisfy all comic book fans. I will say though it is refreshing to see Aquaman being treated as the powerhouse he really is.
