Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh was turned into Rohilla Fort Jail, 149 years ago, Now the entire jail has been prepared to be handed over to the Indian Archeology Department of Saharanpur. Preparations are also underway to shift the prison to another place. On 18 November 1920, this Rohilla fort was declared a protected building. 149 साल पहले उत्तर प्रदेश के सहारनपुर का रोहिल्ला किला जेल में बदल दिया गया था। अब सहारनपुर की यह जिला जेल भारतीय पुरातत्व विभाग को दिए जाने की पूरी तैयारी हो चुकी है। जेल को दूसरी जगह शिफ्ट करने की तैयारियां भी चल रही है। 18 नवंबर 1920 को इस रोहिल्ला किले को संरक्षित इमारत घोषित किया गया था। आगरा के भूतपूर्व संयुक्त प्रांत और अवध के पी डब्ल्यू डी विभाग द्वारा इसका नोटीफिकेशन जारी किया गया था। अब एएसआई ने इसे शिफ्ट करने के निर्देश दे दिए है
