In this video we practice locks and break out and you'll see our locks don't "grip" the arm of the opponent, with good reason.I've trained with people who's arm I just cannot hold onto because their forearms are the size of my thighs. So our locks work around that issue.Two techniques that are always effective and a good fall back are the " braced push " and pulling someone to the ground via their upper arm.
