Pumpkin spice scent prompts Baltimore school evacuation

The smell of fall is in the air. A Baltimore high school was evacuated Thursday over a strange smell. The president of the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, Bill Heiser, said that several students and faculty members had difficulty breathing as the scent “appeared to be getting stronger.” After a little investigation, the Baltimore City Fire Department confirmed that the source of the smell was a pumpkin spice scented air freshener. As many would say, better safe than sorry!
