Dallas Cowboys vs Arizona Cardinals Preview | Week 3

Despite their lackluster effort on the road this past Sunday, the Cowboys were dominated by the Broncos 42-17. Denver’s Defense held Running Back Ezekiel Elliott to 9 carries for eight yards, some calling it the worst game of his career. Quarterback Dak Prescott who was pressured much of the game, completed 30-of-50 passes for 238 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.

The Cowboys, considered by many to have the best offensive line in the NFL, will have to show they can protect Prescott and run the ball effectively against the Cardinals– who are currently ranked 19th in Defense.

Dallas has not allowed a 100-yard rusher in a span of 17 regular season games–but poor tackling and exceptional blocking by the Broncos offensive line, allowed running back C.J. Anderson to gain 118 yards.

Despite the efforts of Defensive End DeMarcus Lawrence’s 2 sack performance, marking his third career second consecutive multi-sack game. The Denver’s offense controlled the ball for over 33 minutes racking up 380 yards of total offense and Quarterback Trevor Siemian throwing for a career high four touchdown passes.

The Dallas Defense will have to step up their game and apply pressure to Cardinals QB Carson Palmer who completed 19 of 36 pass attempts for 332 yards in the overtime victory against the Indianapolis Colts last week.
