Paris Hilton believes that she could have been considered American royalty if it wasn’t for her infamous sex tape.
The hotel heiress is still an extremely successful fashion mogul and DJ, but she tells Marie Claire about the aftermath and consequences of being featured in an adult film.
She tells the magazine, “It’s really hurtful, because my whole life I really looked up to Princess Diana, all these elegant, amazing women… I could have been like that, but because of that tape, I will always be judged and thought of as whatever they say about me because of a private moment between my boyfriend and me.”
Hilton has had a variety of accomplishments since the 2004 adult film was released, but she tells Marie Claire that after its release she could not leave her house for months, and was depressed and humiliated.
