It may not be a Niagara or Victoria falls, but it is unique in the fact of its abruptness in narrowing. The some 300-meter wide river narrows to just 50 meters. In some parts of the water fall the width only measures about 10 – 20 meters. Each year between April – June reduced water flows feed only into the main waterfall with increased head-drop of over 30 meters.
