So-called 'cult killings' -- gang violence often fuelled by drugs and superstition -- are not a new phenomenon in Nigeria, which is almost evenly split between a Muslim north and Christian south. But the so-called Badoo murders -- after the word daubed on the wall at a crime scene -- are making headlines because of their rising frequency and the manner in which victims are dispatched.
