PROMONTORY, Utah -- On June 15, 2017, Orbital ATK, NASA and Lockheed Martin successfully conducted the QM-1 test fire of the Launch Abort Motor that is being developed for use on the Space Agency's Orion spacecraft. The test took place at 1 p.m. MDT (19:00 GMT) and last for approximately five seconds.
