Underground Steam Pipe Explosion Injures 2 in Baltimore

Two people suffered minor injuries on Tuesday, June 20, after a steam pipe exploded beneath a roadway in Baltimore, Maryland.The explosion happened on Eutaw Place, between West Lombard and Pratt streets, according to reports. The two injured were treated at the scene. Fire officials tweeted the explosion was caused by steam, and had enough pressure to damage a nearby Holiday Inn building.The cause of the explosion was under investigation at the time of writing and crews were still on scene.
