Daniel Day-Lewis is retiring, according to Variety

Daniel Day-Lewis, a three-time Oscar winner, is retiring from acting following the release of his next movie, according to Variety. Day-Lewis, who has been acting since he was 14, is known for his mastery of method acting, essentially becoming the person in all walks of life so as to better portray them on screen. "Daniel Day-Lewis will no longer be working as an actor. He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years. This is a private decision and neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment on this subject." The actor's final performance will be released on December 25, 2017 and it currently untitled.
