People in Qatar rushed to stores to stock up on supplies on Monday, June 5, after several countries, including neighboring Saudi Arabia, cut diplomatic ties and banned travel to and from the country.By June 6 conditions had returned to normal in stores, but certain products, such as fish and dairy, were in short supply.Shelves in some stores were picked clean, as seen in these photos from Doha, despite reported assurances from authorities that imports would not be affected. Qatar is largely dependent on imports for food, according to reports.Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates cut ties with Qatar saying they would expel its citizens and banning use of their airspace by Qatari flights. They accused Qatar of supporting terrorist organizations.
