Amazon just hit $1,000 a share

When Amazon went public in 1997, its shares were less than $15. 20 years later, they just hit $1000 a piece for the first time. The massive e-commerce and cloud-computing company finally broke $1000 a share early Tuesday morning. Much of Amazon's success is as a result of its Amazon Web Services, something that has helped the company make a profit for every quarter the past two years. Amazon's stock has seen almost consistent growth but have grown just 40 percent in the past year alone.
