Lion Attacks Trainer During Performance at French Circus

A lion attacked and wounded its trainer during a performance at the Buffalo Circus in Doullens, near Amiens, on May 7.Dramatic video from a woman in the audience shows the lion grappling with the trainer before being subdued, allowing the trainer to escape.
The trainer, named in French reports as Steeve Loberot, was badly wounded in the head and throat, and transported by helicopter to a hospital in Amiens. He was operated on for several hours.
