CERVICAL MUCUS || COLLECTION METHOD

Mucus from the vagina can be used for detection of heat. Animal in estrus can be suitably inseminated at appropriate time by observing fern pattern of the cervical mucus.

Bacteriological culture of cervical mucus is used to ascertain sensitivity in case of any infection.
Agglutination test of vaginal mucus is useful for detection of cases of vibriosis.
