Senior White House Advisor Jared Kushner Arrives in Baghdad for Security Talks

Jared Kushner, senior advisor and son-in-law to President Trump, and Tom Bossert, the president’s homeland security advisor, visited Baghdad on April 3 with Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Joseph Dunford Jr, the Department of Defense said.According to the US Embassy in Baghdad, the three American officials met with Iraqi President Haider al-Abadi and other senior political and military leaders to discuss the ongoing fight against the Islamic State and other joint national security issues. Kushner, according to an embassy statement, was in attendance as an official representative of President Donald Trump.
