President Trump's labor secretary nominee Alexander Acosta is facing questions over the plea deal he oversaw in a sex offender case during his time as a U.S. attorney in Miami. Acosta made a deal with Jeffrey Epstein, Epstein was found guilty of soliciting prostitution in 2008 and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Acosta is now in the middle of a lawsuit that accuses him of mishandling the case and lists Trump as a witness. The story of the lawsuit broke out only a few hours before his confirmation hearing for the labor secretary post.
