General Information about the Omega:

The Omega was and still is an excellent all-rounder. It is also known by different names/brands across the Globe, Some cars having minor or major differences but at the end of the day these cars share something with the Omega.

Australia also had a version of the Omega more commonly known as the Holden Commodore that would be the closest relation to the Omega - In the UK Holden vehicles are usually badged as Vauxhalls with V8 engines only, The Monaro & VXR8 being the 2 most common, While the VXR8 could be called the worthy successor to the Omega with a 6.0/6.2 V8 it never could replace it fully with just one engine even though it's a cracking engine.

The Cadillac Catera / CTS In America although the early CTS mainly shares the Y32SE engine as far as I know the ...no doubt it also shares other aspects of the Omega in some way or another, Also in South America they called the Omega the Chevrolet Omega.

The Opel Omega in Europe apart from the UK where the Omega is more commonly known as the Vauxhall Omega, The predecessor of the Omega was known as the Opel Omega A / Vauxhall Carlton although the most notorious model being the legendary once fastest 4-door saloon in the world in the early 1990s the Lotus Carlton/Omega.

Omega was known as the Chevrolet Lumina in Middle East.

There where also many styling / tuning accessories available for the Omega, Mainly made by Irmscher / Steinmetz. Alloy wheels Irmscher Sport Star, Steinmetz ST1 / ST2. Irmscher/Steinmetz Bumpers, Side skirts, Bumpers, Spoilers, Steering wheel, Mirrors etc.

The biggest engine the Omega was given was the 3.2i 24v V6 - Y32SE - LA3 - 3,175cc Quad Cam producing approximately 220bhp the engine was also found in the early Vauxhall/Opel Vectra C / Signum.
