The elected Hellenic Government on 1947 decided to gather all leftist soldiers in Makronissos (an island near Athens), in order to convert them and give them geapons to fight against the communists and win the guerilla war (some call it civil war!!!) Residents of the island at that time didn't witness any tortures against the communists there...
