Just this year, Beschen and his family sold the house off Kam Highway, packed their boards and the mini-ramp, and relocated to an acre of land up the hill at Pupukea. It’s appropriate that, as his nickname suggests, “The Alien” now lives a little off the well-trodden path of the “7 Mile Miracle.” Beschen invited us in for a tour of the property just before Day 1 of the Volcom Pipe Pro, and gave us a fresh look at what life on the North Shore looks like for those not staying on the sand.
