Shep Smith Slams Trump's Comments About Media Not Reporting Terror Attacks

Fox News anchor Shep Smith sharply criticized President Trump's comments about the media not reporting terror attacks.

On Monday, President Trump delivered an address at Florida’s MacDill Air Force Base.
A part of his speech was dedicated to discussing terrorism in both the U.S. and Europe and the claim that, “the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it.”
Fox News anchor Shep Smith sharply criticized Trump's remarks, noting, "...the president’s assertion is false. The White House knows that it was false or could have learned  that it was false with a quick Google check, but either did not do so or decided not to tell the truth."
After Trump's comments, the White House had released a list of the 78 attacks deemed underreported by the media. It included the incidents in Orlando and San Bernardino.
Smith noted, "Fox News properties covered all of the major ones and at least 79% of all mentioned."
Other media outlets like the New York Times also pointed out their coverage for many of the attacks included in the White House list.
During his speech, Trump said the alleged media coverup was motivated by “reasons.”
He said, “It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported, and in many cases the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it. They have their reasons and you understand that.”
