Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is turning a whole museum into his home

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos recently paid $23 million in cash for a 27,000-square foot property in Washington D.C. that just happens to be the city's former Textile Museum, according to a report from The Washington Post. While extensive renovations are required to turn the long-time museum into a residential home, the combined buildings offer a total of 10 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms and 11 fireplaces, according to a listing with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. The sprawling estate likely won't be Bezos's primary home: he has said that he doesn't have plans to permanently relocate from Washington State, where he currently lives with his family.
