The pristine beauty of the turtle nesting grounds and the coral beds surrounding Queensland’s Raine Island can be seen in underwater footage captured in December 2016.Raine Island is actually a small sand cay and is the largest green turtle rookery in the world, situated within the Great Barrier Reef.
“I would be bold enough to call it the most beautiful hard coral site in the entire world,” photographer Jemma Craig told Storyful. “This reef flat is simply covered from one end to the other in life filled, colorful and beautiful healthy reef and marine life.” Credit: Facebook/Jemma Craig via Storyful
