The benefit of glass canisters is that they're airtight and don't let oxygen and/or humidity through, which can result in decay of tea and other types of dry food. If you're looking for tea storage methods than a glass container can be your choice. Don't forget to keep them in your cabinet though, as tea can still be affected by light.
