U.S. President Barack Obama told reporters on Monday that he will tell European leaders during his foreign trip that incoming president Donald Trump is committed to the military alliance.
Early in his campaign, Trump had said that the U.S. might not meet its obligations to the alliance, but later reversed course and said he would work closely with NATO to defeat the Islamic State.
